Archive: Visiting friends and a trial 'do.

Josef is in town from Baltimore. It's been six months and it feels like he never left our apartment that morning before the long trip across country. We're so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family to share this time with us!

He brought us some beautiful treats from the Amish farmer's market near his house with Aubrey. Now our house smells like Maryland Melon (Marilyn Manson's nicer cousin?)




We went to the pagoda on Hayes Green and had some coffee. It was a lovely sunny day.



Next, Kirsten headed up to the WAK SHACK for a trial hair appointment.



The WAK Shack specializes in retro hair styling and foxy up-do's. The salon is a dream come true, with tiki-kitschy-vintage stuff everywhere. Stylist Erin rolled and sprayed and worked her thing, and Kirsten got to sit (for the very first time) under one of those big space-dome hair dryers you always see in old movies. What a treat! Here's a peek at the test-style:
